Number Plate Supplier

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Number Plate Supplier

Post by zapcity » Thu May 03, 2018 7:31 am

My 480 still has the original dealer numberplates on with the Bells Volvo logos etc., and I'd like to keep them.

However the front has taken a hit and needs replacing (below).

Image

Ive seen the plates remade for Jay-Kay-Ems 480 turbo project, which are the pre-2001 style with the older font and the dealer logo reproduced (as below).

Would anyone know where I can get these remade, as I do like the original look?

I've tried a few places, but they will only do standard modern plates.

Thanks.

PS: I've tried the websites on the card shown in the picture but they don't exist anymore.

Try this website https://www.dmb.uk.com/cat/163/dealer-stickers

They have lots of old dealer stickers and they used to show lots of old dealer stickers for their plates, I remember looking for an old golf before, might be with a try?

Plate‎sforcars.co.uk have just sent me some with the old UK legal font. Second time I've used them and I'm very happy with the quality and speed.

Thanks James.

Didn't see the option to select old legal font. I'll see if they can add my dealer logo as well.

It is "UK Old Legal". I found it quite difficult to get the old font before I was told about these guys. ‎

Try "www.volvo-480-europe.org" in light blue and ‎legal Nordic font for the little subtitle bit at the bottom if you want to be as cool as me!

Thanks to 89of490's recommendation, I contacted Dave and Kate at DMB, and they couldn't have been more helpful.

I ordered a new set of plates with pre-2001 font, and they also copied the Bells Motor Group logos. Delivered cost of £29 for a set is more than fair. :D
