Momo Wheel

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Momo Wheel

Post by jamescarruthers » Tue May 01, 2018 1:16 pm

Momo steering wheel and boss

I noticed that this car being broken for parts had the Volvo Momo steering wheel‎ in. Not sure if it's the Palm Beach or Daytona one, I don't really know the difference.

I checked and it hasn't been sold. They didn't tell me the price.  It's not really my thing. If you are interested contact Douglas Valley Breakers on 01257795272 in Chorley‎

I see a LOT of parts that can be salvaged, if I lived in Manchester-Liverpool-Blackpool-Blackburn area, there would be much rejoicing

Is this the same car that’s been breaking for years?
The wheel does look very nice though!

That car's been on eBay so long it feels like an old friend

I'd always assumed that the wheel would be long gone as they are (or at least were) very desirable. I have one on my GT and I'd highly recommend it, particularly if you have the big SRS wheel. Night and day difference to the feel of the car. If anyone gets it and has the SRS wheel then take the top section of the steering column while you're at it (not as complicated as it sounds) as the Momo boss doesn't work on the SRS column. If you have the non-SRS wheel then it's about ten minutes work to swap the wheels over.

Say no more
That’s a shame it’s gone, it does look vert nice and I’m sure it’ll be as rare as rocking horse teeth! Or a genuine rear blind...
Still, I have the SRS wheel anyway, I don’t really mind it at all to be honest, the 2 spoke in the non airbag cars is certainly a curious shape though! That’s quite a nice wheel too to be fair

Good luck dealing with them, my personal experiences with Douglas Valley Breakers have always been pretty poor.

Most recently, some parts I ordered were broken when removed (by them), and aggressively refused to return my money for the parts that were damaged.

A quick Google check of their reviews shows that I'm not the only customer of theirs to have a similar experience, good job I never bought any high value item from them and never will.
