Breaking 480 in Chester

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Breaking 480 in Chester

Post by robwizard » Thu Nov 20, 2014 7:24 pm

Just got back from a long trip and the 480 is still here and needs to go, so I'm gonna scrap it :( But before it becomes a cube I thought I would have one last attempt at seeing if it can be useful? And this I will break it!

If anyone needs anything let me know. Before anyone asks the rear lights are not great. The middle reflector is good though! Bought it from Glasgowjim and never even fitted it haha. But yeah get at me if you need anything. Quickest way is gonna be to call me at work on 01829 770 771 after 15:00, if not just message me.

Cheers :hopping:

There might be some bushes I could do with as samples.

1.7 automatic

Anyone with interest just tell me what you need and how much silver you would be willing to cross my palm with. Bushes if I can get them out easy enough you can have for the cost of postage?

Cheers

Sorry to hear your 480 is on its last legs.

I don't have the usual request for seatbelt arms--- I need the part on the end with the roller on that the seatbelt passes through.

Do you have them still Rob?

I will go out now and check on the condition of the above items.

The car is 1991, in regards to the rear wiper motor I'm not sure if it works but I will check asap.

Cheers

Very sad to hear of a wee 480 being scrapped. However seems sadder to not utilse the parts. I am looking for a front screen wash nozzle as been gluing mine in every few weeks. Also passenger fog lamp glass, if no one has claimed the seat belt extension arms would love those. Thank you. Might be a few other things but list renews so often I forget the initail list x

Sheena you need to say what year as there are 2 different types of front fog lightglass.
The old type and thicker and are clipped in the newer type are glued in. Also are you looking for 2 glasses or the driver side or passenger side.

Hey guys this has now been scrapped! I still have a towbar which I would sell for £10, A black half leather (pretty sure it's leather and not vinyl..) interior which I would sell for £80, a folding tape holder thing which is pretty cool that someone can just have if they want it, a set of clocks.. volt meter, oil etc.. £20?

If anyone want's any of this stuff please come and get it! If anyone wants all of it then I will do you a sterling discount!

Cheers

I believe this is a tape casette holder that replaces the large cubbie hole below the heated seat buttons. Seen a few around but no one really wants them.
There are always ample warnings and there are always subtle signs,
And you would have seen them coming but we gave you too much time.

Yeah that's the one. I took it out cos it was pretty snazzy but I guess nobody has tapes anymore so pretty redundant. But if anyone wants it then they can have it.. I would take offers on all the rest of the stuff as well. The interior is nice, it had a little bit of wear on the drivers bolster which I had resprayed. If nobody wants them I will probably end up making chairs out of them for work..
