Glasgowjim's spares list

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Glasgowjim's spares list

Post by glasgowjim » Tue Aug 28, 2012 7:39 pm

I have been asked by several forum members if I could list the spares I have ...

I have put this in the sales part of the forum although this is not a parts for sale list ;) . I reiterate that I am not a dealer/breaker just another enthusiast who has happened to build up a store of spare parts. But if it saves forum members having to spend ages searching the internet to locate a part to keep their 480 on the road then this post will have served its purpose.

Jim

which ' Ball Joints'?

do you happen to have the 'drop links' for front anti-roll-bar
I need to check which side tho cos they are handed (I think). (front OFF SIDE)

any idea of the model the SRS controller came from?

I think that they are different for different years/models? mine is a Sept 1993 TWO litre with SPRING seat-belt tensioners

Hi Alan

the balljoints are for the front suspension arms and are the lower balljoint that attaches the front suspension arm to the wheel and suspension assembly. The balljoints I have are brand new.

Will check on the srs unit and pm you with year if possible.

I should have drop links for the front it is a matter of finding them in the shed :bla: :bla:
I dont think they are sided but will check for you.

regards jim.

Jim

OK I will check in case the bottom ball joints are 'year' or 'model' dependant, which I doubt

The SRS light has taken a habit of flashing on at random times and not sure whether to bother fixing it, the previouscars only had FIXED seat-belts!
air bags are if you don't wear a belt?? :D

Alan you are correct there are 2 versions of the srs control unit . I have spares of both

The top of the unit has a large label and printed on it is the volvo part number it is either

471388 or 474128

£35 includes uk postage first class for either unit.

Hey Jim,

Hope all is well with you and the fleet.

Can you advise if you have any 'spare' front foglights at all? I'm led to believe these should fit the apertures on the front of my Mk1 440, but tracking some down is proving difficult (as usual).

Thanks again

Roge1
