Wanted - Volvo turbo engine

I need a Volvo turbo engine for my 480 Melton the piston and it is cheaper for me to do a swap over of a new engine. If anyone has one or knows of one please reply to this thread. Thank you

Hmmm, now why am I not surprised? That's what happens when you run 25psi of boost.

I was misinformed, it was actually running 15 psi of boost. MAF turbo intake hose fell off at high speed due to shoddy garage work after having the clutch done. Oil pressure went through the roof, shot dipstick out and spewed all it's oil everywhere whilst melting a piston. Worried there could be some turbo damage...

I am really sorry to hear you need a new engine :( Is their none on ebay? I have seen one or two appear on ebay over the past few months.

Thank you for your kind message. :D

Haven't seen any on eBay, just inside a car... Got some good news, found one at a volvo breakers yard, 200 quid, 3 month warranty, came out of a 1993 480gt 2 years ago, been dry stored in lock up, was an auto, engine has done a mere 77k :hopping:

Ordering that in the morning, then me and my mechanic friend will do the Cambelt, alternator belt, water pump, new filter, new oil and plugs, new turbo gasket, swap over my inlet and my t25, the bigger injectors etc, and fit all the other bits and bobs, along with my manual flywheel and box, the newly replaced clutch :) and get her fired up again.

Then sometime in the very near future it's a trip to the tuning garage to have her set up properly... Prevent any damage to this engine...

I'm thinking I may keep the old engine and rebuild it all, upgrade what I can on it, new pistons etc... Then I will have a spare engine which I can either keep or sell...

I have a complete 480 turbo been garaged for 10 years.
