Pair of Front Shock Absorbers - Brand New!

I bought some front shock absorbers for my 480, intending to fit them at the same time as my lowering springs (also for sale

). I've since sold the 480 (before fitting them), so have these left over. They're brand new, never fitted - and only just taken out of the box today, so I could photograph them.

I'm looking for Ã‚Â£50 delivered (UK).

They're made by a company called "RECORD", who I've never heard of before. I just bought the cheapest "non-brand" shocks I could, as the car was only being used as a run-about. I think I paid Ã‚Â£70 for them, which still worked out cheaper than GSF, EuroCarParts or PartsForVolvos after taking delivery and VAT into account.

Also, they've got the little clips on the side, needed for cars with ABS - although obviously you can ignore that if you don't have ABS - they'll still fit!

I've taken a photo of the box they came in. I think they had "made in France" stamped on them.

If I can get the springs off you, would wanna do shocks all round!!

No, no rears I'm afraid. The advice I would offer though, from my experience of buying rear shocks on my past 480's, would be to buy the SACHS rear shocks from PartsForVolvos.com.

I had all kinds of knocking problems with 3 different 480's from fitting Bilstein shocks, and replacing them with SACHS shocks solved it each time.

I can do you a set of Bilsteins for Ã‚Â£20 if you can put up with the knocking

Hmmm this is very tempting!

SOOOOO....which would be worse...standard shocks or the bilsteins?!!

And what exactly is the curse of the bilsteins!?? Let me know mileage as well
