Under Radio Gauges

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

THe TT didn't have them as standard and Mr Bat seems to be recessing the entire car back to totally standard - maybe he's going to start a 480 museum? :)

Doh - there's me using the ultimate 480 oxymoron word - "standard" - when will I learn that there isn't really a standard in 480s, unless the standard is simply "chaos and randomness" :P

As long as you engine is not running there will be no oil pressure, so you will be able to undo the existing sensor, and fit the sender unit, without leaking a drop of oil :)

Hey guys...

I hope you don't mind me posting being a 440 owner an all! I know it's a bit off topic, but it's about the oil pressure sender. My '94 440 didn't have a battery or oil pressure gauge (not an option on the facelifted 440s) so i got one from an older model and have half wired it up. I got the battery gauge to work, but i am unsure as to where the oil pressure sensor is to wire it up. I know the 440 and 480 are different models, but the 440 was based on the 480, so obv. there are similarities. Anyone any idea what the sensor looks like, i where it may be located on my car? And, as my 440 didn't have the gauge, will i need to get a different sensor? I know it will be around the sump, but i'm not sure where abouts...or what i'm looking for. Any ideas peeps?

Any help appreciated,

Dan M
