Wanted: Rear Clusters To Prevent Scrapping

A few months ago a guy crashed into my beloved 480 while i was parked. To make matters worse he left the scene of the crash. An hour later i found my 480 with a dented mudguard, broken rear bumper and rear clusters. Luckily there was a street camera which caught the crash and after a lot of police and court involvement the guy admitted and his insurance will pay for my repairs. BUT they told me that if they do not find a replacement for the rear clusters at a good price, they will declare my beloved 480 as a total loss, give me a ridiculously low sum of money and scrap her.

So i need a decent pair of rear clusters to prevent my otherwise perfect 480 from being scrapped.

Please help !!

Hi Michael

I can try and find a pair in the UK and ship out if there is time , but would need to know in advance what would be regarded as a "good price" and would need to be paid prior to shipping out to Malta if I got the parts.

Sorry I did not get back to you earlier but I had just sold my spare pair of rear clusters but it has taken a long time to finalise the deal due to circumstances.

There would be no guarantees but I would know before Christmas if I could find a pair.

Thats the best I could do I am afraid.

I'm afraid in Malta it's not as easy to negotiate with insurances as they are generally described as mafia !

Thanks for your offer Jim, I have to check with the insurance about the price they are willing to pay but if you can have a look around in the meantime and have an idea of what they generally go for, it would be great.

You are expecting about Â£40/50 per cluster add postages and it should be Â£120 maximum.
