WANTED - NEW OR RE-CON REAR BRAKE CALIPERS

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your calipers from and how much did you pay? I'm starting to get desperate for a rear caliper...

rear calipers

Post by Andy73 » Fri Feb 23, 2007 11:21 am

Hi, I got my rear calipers & loads other parts from Bridgend Motor Factors, I paid £51.86 each cause i was cheeky and asked for trade discount, but normally they retail there for £62.97+VAT!! and you have to pay extra £40.00 old unit charge which you get refunded when you take back the old unit.
The telephone number is 01656 642900 or check out www.bmf.uk.com

Hope this helps
Cheers Andy

I bought a new boot seal from volvo. It was about £40. I previously bought one from a local rubber / moulding extruding co but it didn't last and wasn't a great fit. Splash out on a volvo one i say.

Small world. Been patronising BMF for years as I only live a few miles from Bridgend. Never thought to ask when I've been in recently for brake pads!
