Nice Modified Turbo on eBay

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Nice Modified Turbo on eBay

Post by Big Brother » Thu Mar 17, 2005 7:38 pm

If I had the money I would bid for it because I really want a turbo but the Celeb cost enough and I’ll have to wait until I finish paying that off. But it looks very nice, re-sprayed maybe and modified.

It worries me that he's sellling it as a performace car of some form, yet only has a few really entry-level changes to the car, totally what, £200 quid spend - £250 max. And we should believe him, because he's an engineer (apparently)

Nice non faded red tho - like my first ever ES :)

And as for posting links - who says we're stopping? Screw that, I like to be informed, especially as I dont have time to keep trawling ebay myself these days!

Its pre 92 spec...would have expected late spec on a k. Thats why its such a dark red, mine and richard's are the new, paler red. (207)

Also means it gets the nasty interior/no airbag/orange clusters.

Seems a nice honest ad to me though, but its pulling mk2 money in my opinion.

I'm sorry, the trim level is of course very good in all 480s. I'm biased because i have the late spec trim...i think it swapped over generally in 92, but not all cars follow the rule...like this one.

The 'mk2' has a few differences, some bits were removed, some added. I'm not the most knowledgeable, but my 94 has half leather (jaquard) seats, which were standard even on the S in later years, and certainly all the turbos at least gained SRS (airbag and pretensioners), as well as tracs, and FCS (closure)

I think the late 92s early 93s are some of the best years. You get the stronger engine, with tougher clutch. I got all the CEM features, full leather on my turbo, and I don't have TRACs which I prefer. If I want tracs, I'll add a real traction control system (which I am considering!!)

The interior layout changed very little, if any from what I've seen in photos.

If you got full leather you're sorted anyway! Tracs is not a problem, it takes 10seconds to turn it off if you so wish.
