Rescue cars

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Thanks for this round-up Jeff :D

I'll try to update R9's thread tomorrow as work is resuming on her.

Cars still available when completed are R1, R4 R5 R7 and R9. But there are pros and cons - more detail to follow!

I often wonder about the rescue cars but struggle to find their posts. Could the R-cars be put as "stickies" at the top of our "The secret life of a 480 owner..." section?

R5, the black manual turbo, is currently with me having been ousted from Jeff's Sanctuary by R8, a black turbo auto. R8 is taking precedence because we may well buy it and sell hubby's manual turbo. As it's sort of spoken for and no-one had come forward for R5, it made sense to crack on with R8 first.
If you or anyone else is interested in R5, it will get swapped with R8 once that's done and dusted. Needless to say bad weather has stopped play at the Sanctuary but fingers crossed we'll get some better weather soon.

Pricing of the rescue cars is based on costs - its all done with club members donations so I have to make sure we don't make a loss. If current values allow, we also add a little extra for all the labour that has gone into the car but its a drop in the ocean compared to what a garage would charge so they are always reasonably priced.

Snazzy - 1993 Paris Blue ES red dipstick 2.0i bought 2001
Lethal Lily - 1991 White Turbo
Paris the Unicorn - 1991 Paris Edition
hubby has
Sven - 1994 Racing Green GT
Evil Eva - 1992 Paris Blue Turbo

no previous 480s - can't bear to sell any

I bought R6 for £3750 but it is a GT after all and along with all the usual mechanical repairs it did end up pretty much having a full respray so bodywork mint. Check out the R6 thread and you’ll see the first and last photos of it are like night and day. The work and effort was outstanding.
