Rescue Cars

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Rescue Cars

Post by just_somebody » Thu Mar 10, 2022 3:03 pm

Hi everyone, can anyone let me know the current situation with the rescue cars?

I am looking for a 480 and a rescue car would be a good obvious choice knowing it's been checked out and any major issues sorted by people who know these cars.

Ideally looking for an auto but I realise how rare they are. I can only see R6 for sale, have the others been sold already or are they for sale? Or are they simply not ready yet?

Many thanks.

they get worked on when time permits. Currently R6 (the GT) is ready for sale, I've currently got R5 (black manaual Turbo) and R1 (blue Manual ES) being worked on.

R7 (Black Auto ES) is sat patiently in the queue.

The original plans were to try and get buyers onboard before they were finished, that way they could specify when the rescue was "complete"; With R2 for example, DC took the car with it just having MOT, as he was more than happy to do all the servicing etc himself.

Hello and welcome to the world of the Rescue Cars  !

I can't really add to what Jeff has said, save to say that R6 is currently with me and is completed now in terms of our "rescue process" - which is not to say that if a confirmed buyer came along more couldn't be done in liaison with them. Mind you, as I said in the R6 thread, there is little left to do to her but drive and enjoy :D

I note your preference for an automatic, but these are somewhat rarer than manuals as you note.

If you wanted to know any more about R6, please do get in touch with me via a PM and I'll share direct contact details with you and then help you further if I can. Whereabouts in the country are you, by the way?
