Volvo 480 Club Europe

This low mileage 480ES auto looks a bit knackered. It was passing MOTs without advisories bar one year, until 2019.

However, I suppose if the wheel arch welding was checked and considered done to a high standard then it would just be a case of putting it back together, buying lenses front and back and attempting to match the white paint? Maybe I’m a hopeless optimist? Either way, not something I’ll be going for.

I fear that one is beyond the talents/resources of the Rescue Group - to say it needs some tlc looks to be something of an understatement!

Leaving aside the need for front and rear lights, even if the welding work is sound there would be the matter of a respray, as you say James. Why couldn't someone match the white in the first place? Furthermore, if the interior is indeed just in that heap in the garage, who knows what state it's in?

Yes, the heap was rather a worrying damp mess I thought.

Poor old car

My first thought was it needs to be rescued, especially when I looked at the MoT history, but the more I looked at the pictures the more pitfalls I saw. I had to wonder why so much has been dismantled.

The one door we have a photo of looks rust free, so now I'm thinking if it got broken we might be able to lay hands on the doors for R4.
