I have got the DRL's looking good with Joeps lenses and Jiffles choice of leds. But a warped bulb holder now seems to be causing my light to be a bit intermittent. Does anyone have any spare I could buy? I am hoping these are not in the unobtanium range!

sadly most 'used' will have already been cooked, I am sure that they are still available, mine are just 'fair' and when in daily use for 30-40miles per day it ate the bulbs at a scary pace!!!

now that only used my better half no point in going down the LED route, < 900 miles last year

Skandix sell them. I’m afraid they are expensive but I don’t know of any other way to get a new one.

https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/e ... p/1015190/

29.00EUR each plus postage to the UK.

If you have replaced your DRL lenses, consider these an good investment in their life as the high resistance in your old corroded holders will be acting as little heaters, as well as the filament bulb if you haven’t gone for LEDs.

As you are working with LED, then maybe just 'hard-wire' them?

it's not like they will need replaced every few weeks/months?? :hopping:

Thanks for replies everyone.
Alan that's an interesting idea. I could solder them in but still have them in the same bulb holders! Might just do that as wouldn't take much to replace even if I needed to. Just one question though, with leds are they an mot pass? They are so much brighter than the pup ups so wasn't sure if it was legal? ! 😂 Although I'm guessing they are fine if other 480 owners use them too.

The DRL's are bright (21w) when the headlamps are off, and dim (4w) once headlamps are on.

All of my cars run LED' Drl's and pass the MOT just fine.
