Another potential rescue ?

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Just to add some details:

the car is an alleged 14k mile car, pulled from an Garage. very brief MOT data shows it doing 13,242, 13,244 and 13,245 miles. We must presume it lives VERY close to the MOT station....

Being garaged hasn't stopped the OSR rear arch from rusting either and the NSR doesn't look far behind.

Had a quick chat with the seller who has someone looking at it today (6/11) but has been dissapointed so far, as people are only "offering scrap money" for the car.

According to the chap who's posted it, the car does actually live next to an MOT station, and was garaged because its original owner left the country but kept the car.

This is not an unusual story, I've read many stories about an owner who has left the country but can't part with his or her car. There is a rare French car in the storage where my folding caravan (and soon campervan) also sits, the car is on pre-2001 style plates so it didn't see the light of day for two decades. Many people have asked the owner of the storage about the car, but the owner (who doesn't live nearby) doesn't want to part with it!

But we all know how unreliable the instrument clusters are, and how many have been replaced in the past. Without full service history, I'm not going to believe it's done so little miles.

It's a Mega Tjaffer, sold as Mega Ranch or Mega Club in other countries, built by Aixam which is generally known for small vehicles for the disabled. A typical quirky French "love it or hate it" design, based on the Citroën AX, available with 1.1 or 1.4 litre PSA TU petrol or 1.5 litre PSA TUD diesel engine. Like the AX, they were available with optional four wheel drive. They were never sold in the UK. Quite unloved in the past, they're now appreciating rapidly, fetching 5000-8000 euro for an average example.
