GT For Sale - Harwich

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Worth a (hopefully small) project perhaps? Look past that rear replacement reflector if you can. :D

Also seen HERE back in August. I remember the side marker from a trailer

So many 480 broken dreams. Buy, obtain paintshop & welding quote, sell. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

They all hang on a knife edge.

Does seem the case. They’re all at the age of needing a good cash injection now, aren’t they.

They all ‘look’ ok but so much going on you don’t really see or get told. Then, like you say, the offloading happens again.

Reached £1220 at auction so anyone very interested might be able to go for it for a reasonable-ish price.

I’m not well versed in historical insurance issues though.

Accurate and sadly true..... :cryhard:

That's why I'm so hard when we assess them; Perfect cars do exist, but they're probably owned by people who aren't going to sell them. As such, you need to buy your project with eyes fully open, and negotiate price accordingly.

For example, that trailer side marker concerns me massively - HOW has it been fixed? because rectifying it could be very costly.

And just in case anyone is contemplating it:

Drivers door pocket missing.
Drivers Seatbelt retractor broken
Cracked OSR lense
Rear leather seat belt imprints (a sign of malnourished leather!)
NSF leather "repaired" (bodged is probably a more accurate term)
Dashboard cracked - Yes, they all do that...
Broken speedo
Rear marker light abomination
crap tyres
Cat C
Interesting MOT history....
