Re: They're like busses...
Martin mc could be close to this one, could give it a once over if he has time?
Re: They're like busses...
Hello Norm,
Was just about to post that it is close to home for me - happy to check it out for any prospective purchasers - just PM me and I'll sort out a time to go and have a look.
All the best!
Martin

Re: They're like busses...
Why can't "Rob" make an Ebay account for himself?
after over 10 years parted with the 1995 Volvo 480 ES 2.0
Re: They're like busses...
I'm always a bit suspicious of "selling for a friend" - as Van says, if Rob wants to sell his car what's stopping him doing it himself? Dodgy seller history? Doesn't really exist?
At first glance this looks quite good but a couple of things from the photos -
Rear arches look to be original and are clearly starting to go, which is fair enough but obviously a factor to take into account...
Leaving aside the bad peel, that speedo is not original. The GT had the later font speedo, and the ones that said "unleaded only" came from the early days of fitting cats (say, 1990 - 1992). We know speedo's fail so not to concerned about replacement per se, but the mileage it shows is being relied on in the ad as being this car's mileage, and it might well not be...
Mismatched front tyres - I hate mismatched tyres anyway, but looking at one of the front photos the O/S tyre looks new and the N'S tyre looks completely bald on the inner third or so of its surface tread. I bet the O/S was the same or worse, hence the recent replacement - so the alignment is way out for whatever reason - could be nothing, could be serious...
Again, worth looking at and into methinks.
Martin, it's a nice run over the A59 to Clitheroe for me - fancy taking a "2 480" trip to view? Nilani and Lily would get to meet up again and we'd have good benchmarking guides to hand...

Just saw this - and yes, I'd be up for a get together in Nilani - when were you thinking? Am working this week, but off for a couple of weeks after Friday (away Sunday / Monday / Tuesday next week).
All the best!

Hi Martin
Better sooner rather than later I guess before the car just sells!
I'll give it some thought and get back to you directly...
Hope all's well - I've told you before though, you won't be allowed to keep Nilani if all you're going to do is hurt her
Best
