'94 S in "popular" green met

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

It looks like a reasonably straight car to me - I've had 2 'S' versions of the wedgie, and both had steel wheels / wheel covers, so I think the wheels are accurately described. I like the colour and the interior looks in fair condition - I do like the half leather trim to be fair.

Rear lenses look ok - not easy to see at the distance they are pictured.

The MOT history seems to confirm the replacement clock explanation, although the last MOT shows 105,500 miles, with a jump between 2016-17 from 66K to 97K. As a two owner car it is something unusual, and it sounds like there is extensive history and a good service record.

Nice to see it has had a 'lower half respray', although this could well be hiding a multitude of issues.

Definitely a good 'starter' car for anyone looking to enter Wedgie World :)

It will be interesting to see what it goes for in the end - 5 bidders so far on eBay - I'd say it will go for north of £1200 and hopefully will be seen at one of the next meet ups.

Well....

Looks better than most of the recent ones!

The only worry is the "bottom half respray in 2016" - I'd be taking a lucky fridge magnet along to see if that included the rear arches....

The wheel covers at front and near side rear are correct for the S. Off side rear is a 440 wheel cover...

Overall doesn't look bad to me. Agree that lower half respray may be a blessing or a curse though.

Anyone we know looking at this?

I think the documentary history with the car will be the strongest indicator of the car's provenance and viability, given the slightly odd historical record on the MOT. From the description in the eBay listing that sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.

I've never come across a 2 litre 'S' - perhaps the variant was a way for Volvo to use up any remaining 1.7 lumps as the model approached the end of its production run?
