Ooh... That it lovely.

A bargain, if some of the latest prices are anything to go off.
That should probably fetch £25k!

Hammers can't fix a 480!!!

Looks very nice, but the price is a bit steep, I would say that's all the money

Are you sure it's S/G met? It doesn't look like it to me, I thought that was the colour of the launch cars that can be seen in Roberts video

Indeed, this car looks a lot like the elusive Lavender colour

The V5 describes it as Silver however the original invoice states that it is Oyster Grey.

Ah...the V5 only ever gives a generic colour.

If it's oyster grey metallic then that is what was called lavender on mainland Europe.

Well MrH. Spot on. I have checked the plate and to my surprise the code is 311-1. Lavender Metallic. Just shows don’t always believe how the dealership describes the car! It’s only taken 30 years for me to discover the truth.

Pleasure to help out!

I hope the car finds a good home, I assume its a manual?

Not trying to be difficult, but both Mr H AND the dealership are correct.

311 shows on the chart on the main 480 Europe site as "Lavender" because in mainland Europe that's what the colour was called. As with several of the Volvo colours they had different names in the UK. In the UK 311 was called "Oyster Grey Metallic" - just like your dealership said.

It was a nice colour - I had an ES in it...

Don't know about you but I always prefer the UK names, seem a bit more, stylish, in their naming. 'Arctic blue' 'Oyster grey' sound a lot better than generic Light blue met and Lavender met
