The moment it’s MOT’d I’ll be viewing it.

I can neither confirm nor deny I’d be accompanied by my friend who works for the DVSA.....

That's just cruel.

Funny, but cruel

Also:
Don't bring him near any of my cars :kill:

Update on this idiot, for those not following the fun.....

Price has been reduced from 8495, to 6495 and is currently at 4995.

Apparently it's going for it's MOT this Saturday.....

It's down to 2,799, getting closer to the sub-1k mark!

Actually joined the forum to ask about this, as looking around for a 480. How bad does everyone reckon this is, given its now dropped to sub £2k (Probably not worth that much still)

Hi Helmert, Welcome to the fold!

I don't think the question is as much the car, as it is the seller

He has left a lot of things unsaid which means that the car is high risk. It looks average at best, but there are better ones about

Did you see it actually went for an MOT?

Do not drive until repaired (dangerous defects):
Nearside Rear Service brake has no recorded effort at a wheel (1.2.1 (a) (ii))
Offside Rear Service brake has no recorded effort at a wheel (1.2.1 (a) (ii))
Parking brake efficiency less than 50% of the required value (1.4.2 (a) (ii))

Repair immediately (major defects):
Rear Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (6.1.2 (a))
Offside Headlamp not working on dipped beam (4.1.1 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Subframe mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength (5.3.6 (a) (i))
Nearside Rear Outer Seat belt anchorage prescribed area strength or continuity significantly reduced (7.1.1 (a) (i))
Offside Rear Outer Seat belt anchorage prescribed area strength or continuity significantly reduced (7.1.1 (a) (i))
Windscreen washer not working (3.5 (a))
Nearside Parking brake inoperative on one side (1.4.1 (a))
Service brake efficiency below requirements (1.2.2 (a) (i))

Repair as soon as possible (minor defects):
Windscreen damaged but not adversely affecting driver's view (3.2 (a) (i))
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Nearside Rear Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii))
Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i))
Offside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Offside Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))

I wouldn't buy it for £200, let alone £2000.

Hello. Thank you for the welcome :hopping:

My mate and I actually just looked up the MOT, and saw that massive list. Got to say that I reckon ill hold out till something a bit better pops up. Shame as I think the colour of the car looks stunning. Just not as stunning as the list of things ready to go wrong on that little unit.

Has anyone popped up there to actually take a look at it? Cause with a list of issues that long (and mould visible in the photos) id imagine any seller would have a hard time justifying the price.

As evidenced by the fact this car started at £8495, and the seller apparently knew exactly that it really was worth that much...

Welcome Helmert, good choice of car to go for, but please don't go for that one!!

David

Haha Cheers fellas.

I reckon ill give it a miss. But upon some messages apparently all the issues are "sorted" and its ready for the road this week  ....Although judging by the rest of this thread that has already been said a few times before.

If it does get a miraculous MOT maybe ill go along and take a look at it. Doubt i would ever want to purchase the thing even if it was half the price knowing the ordeal its been through. Especially when they do seem to pop up on eBay from time to time(although id like a nice one to pop up at some point)

Would ofcourse keep people updated on what it seems like in person should the opportunity arise.

No problem, I tend to keep a finger on the classified pulse so you will see what I find on here more often than not
