Here we go again...

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Apparently the Radiator has now gone on it, and the Headlights wont work. The Radiator is apparently going to be sorted. But the Headlight isnt going to be done?

The messages im recieving are rather cryptic.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not consider buying this car... For entertainment value, it's worth communicating with the seller, but the thing is an absolute lemon!

I wouldnt worry about me purchasing it...It seems like ive seen better cars than this end up at the scrappers. I can not comprehend the list of issues the car has (I was sent a list of problems), and even getting the car started seems to be on the list....How great. :?

So glad that no one has been caught out with this one, the seller is getting a dose of realism and I hope he s left with this (lemon) for a long time.there are a lot of sharks out there!

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse....The price has not lept up by another £800 again...

It's been a rollercoaster watching this thing fluctuate in price:

So, I noticed last night; suddenly it’s spares or repairs and lost 6k in this hilarious process. Still needs to lose about another £1,800.

Lost all the “I know what I’ve got” garb too.
Still “the only one advertised in the UK” though!

This one really has been the gift that keeps on giving for this forum.

It doesn't even look that bad, if the seller was more honest I think it would have shifted by now, it is not really the fault of the car, just an idiot seller :wall:

Exactly this. I wouldn’t trust him on anything now after the previous spoutings of bullshit and attempts to horrendously over charge.

Totally agree. Advertised at a realistic price (albeit obviously, as a seller, he is going to chance his arm) with recognition that it will probably be beaten down, coupled with a truthful description, this would have at least been a car of interest to anyone seriously looking for a 480.

But the seller has completely undermined himself with the way he has gone about the whole exercise.

Pity really, because I can foresee a potentially retrievable car ending up as scrap now.

The seller was frankly an arsehole to me in the messages I had, and the brief phone call that followed. His definition of "Fixing all the issues" if someone pays his asking price means nothing, as he intends to sell it with stuck headlight motors, and non functional dashboard.
