Anyone Looking for a Starter 480? - eBay - Alton, UK.

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

...or rather, currently a non-starter to be quite exact!

Not researched its history but might be a good foot in the 480 door.... :)

Yeah, well over but they seem very disinterested in it, like they'd like to be rid. Thought if someone was looking for a first project, it might be affordable.

I'd say they're trying their luck - If they were genuinely clearing a p/x, it'd be a £99 start, or probably scrapped without a thought.

Obviously, every OLD car is worth a fortune, regardless of condition.

Think Keith Cooper has one for sale for less than that that is in better condition with MOT!

I'd say the garage is being a bit greedy, since the lump already actually 'sold' last week on fleaBay for the princely sum of £487.77. The original ad was all righteous about payment and collection within 3 days, so I'm guessing the 'lucky winner' has probably blabbed about their excitement about acquiring a low mileage (really, I mean, reeeaalllyy??) car, and the garage have gone - ooh, maybe some rarity value, lets sell it again with a healthier margin. I've seen that kind of thing done time and time again on eBay.. :(

Anyway, it is nice to see another car potentially entering the fold - I might have been interested myself as a) it is white and b) it has another 2 digit reg plate, but Alton is in Hampshire and just a bit too saucy to consider the logistics under lockdown.

I'd wager it will be around for a while at £850 mind! Bloody cheek!

I did see it from Facebook I think, makes mine look like a peach.
At least the lights look in good condition, about the best thing it has going for it.
Could make a good parts car for about £500 less...

Aye, but I wouldn't be shelling out £850 for one of those

Best case is someone falls in love with the thing and wrings a deal out of the erm, dealer.

Save the wedgie!
