'94 2.0 ES - Very nice one up for sale

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Looks like it has the Canis wheels - very smart, but they're asking all the money!

top notch price, but if it is really 50k and as clean and tidy around arches then that can save a load of grief

I spy a couple of rust bubbles on the arches, need sorting before they get any worse. The wear on the driver's seat bolster makes me wonder how many miles it did before the odo got fixed, or maybe it''s had a very large driver  Apart from that, looks great.

That looks very smart. I'd say that this one is worth the money. ‎I sold my last 480 for this amount.

Saw this on eBay tonight,
Noticed lots of bubbles on one arch, how bad are they ( does it need cut out usually) and what fist is this?
MOT history doesn't look to bad.
What's a genuine figure it's worth , looking for honest appraisals

Rust is already bubbling on a wheel arch (rusting from the inside, so needs a cut out, weld and paint job!) and the drivers seat shows more wear than you would expect from this mileage. Even here in The Netherlands you won't get 2,998 euro (which is what £2,695 is worth now) for a 480 in that condition. Also, someone fitted cheap Chinese rubber in a wrong size, 205 is too wide for 5.5" rims.

Is the dash surround held on with duct tape behind the fog light switches?!?

Like people have said.... something brewing under them there arches.

not sure the seat is worn, maybe just a trick of light?

is Duct tape not the preferred method of holding stuff in place

Brinkie has better eyesight than I do regarding the tyre size!!!

price is 'opening gambit' you can always reduce the selling price, more difficult to increase it? depends how keen to sell (or been told to sell so place an advert with a high selling bid to 'not sell it, cos nobody wants it' :-) )

Pity it's so far away, long way to go to find the hidden issues.

you can add 'location' to the profile,

Depends what kind of surprise you want to give the wife I guess ;). I sounded out the "gift for the wife" approach recently as a possible angle in on a third 480: the wife reminded me of Jeff's experience and suggested I take very careful note!!

BTW Jeff, sorry, forgot all about that seat bolt; will get it off to you tomorrow/Monday...

The only further observation I'd make about the 480 subject of this post is that it appears to be missing the stone-chip stickers at the rear arches, which is always the clue to the arches having been done. In which case, it's a little disappointing to see rust bubbles forming again. Beyond that, though, it does look like a nice example.

On the eighth photo there appears to be a color difference between the door and the rear side panel.

Let’s have it right - incorrectly sized Jinyu tyres!

You can tell an awful lot about an older car simply from the tyres.

Clearly this owner has gone with the “what’s the cheapest thing that’ll fit my car” approach.

Very well spotted!
How can someone put "R" tires on it? Very irresponsible.
