'94 2.0 ES - Very nice one up for sale

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

In fairness, those tyres are only circa £10 a corner cheaper than the likes of a Uniroyal or equivalent (regardless of if the tyres are the wrong size)

At the money its at when you compare it to ~most~ 480s that come up for sale around the £1000-1200 mark these cars tend to be up the length of 100k miles+ and will be aged all over accordingly, things such as lights, interiors, trims, clips, switchgear etc are all known to not wear too well with age in some instances.

just look at the good/fair/above the average condition of all the fixtures and fittings on this particular car and you can see where the owner has come up with his price from, all-be-it slightly above the mark maybe but anyone would do that to sell a car these days to give themselves some bargaining room, it's got history of milage though the DVLA mot records for the past 13 years so I see nothing fishy there in the slightest.

How many times has anyone bought a 480, regardless of the price, where the visible disks and callipers in the photo's literally look box fresh?

I do think the price is on the strong side, but bound to still be worth topside of £2000 as it sits - yes the rear arches will need to be addressed, but a 6"x6" section of metal work at the rear of an arch incorporating treatment of the full wheel arch is a lot cheaper and nicer to deal with than welding in a full new quarter repair section to get rid of "real" rusty arches and after that and possibly a treatment of leather restorer on the drivers seat you really are laughing with a wonderfully usable classic for far less than buying a £1200 version in need of much more money spent on it to get it to the overall standard that this car has surely ?

we all know how much we've spent on our own cars over the years to get them to our desired condition!

PS: not a rant, just an opinion!
