turbo to repair or break anyone ?

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

turbo to repair or break anyone ?

What grabbed my attention was the new rear light clusters ! Thankfully the vandals left them alone. Rear lights/half leather interior/saleable reg/airbag/auto box, got a lot going for it.

cheap rear clusters ,

but a shame to break if all it needs is a starter, windscreen is £80 excess :-)

keeping a lazy eye on it as it's local.

The problems could start once the starter is working.....

and lets face it, starter on the turbo models isn't exactly a 5 minute job!

Have had discussions, but sadly, Ms Foxes turbo has made everyone believe their scrap is worth £6k....

"I'd sooner it was restored" was the response... well yes, but you can't guarantee that once you've sold it!

I tried to point out that 99% of people will simply break it because there's money that way. Its been stood for 3 years after the starter failed and they didn't have it replaced because of the cost of the labour, so there's no way of knowing engine/gearbox condition. then add in the cost of the windscreen and the rotting rear arches (and probably rear bumper bar, cos they all go), and it's going to take someone fairly dedicated to put it back on the road.

"but it's worth £6k when its restored".... :wall:

And so you're not restoring it why???

Seriously, there's no reasoning with some people....
