Subframe mounting

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

sub frame to car or gearbox to sub frame?

they are still available from suppliers ,

REAR gearbox mount is NLA , regardless of what any web page says!

This is oil filled and very difficult to get hold of. Do your homework on here with search. I'd recommend getting one second hand from a late 440/460 that is being scrapped. You won't get a new one as far as we know here

Wait, you say it is a gearbox mount‎? As in one of the two at the front of the car?

If so, you can buy these from Poland. I would recommend replacing two at the front as a pair as these replacements are stiffer.‎

The front two ARE AVAILABLE: ‎http://www.ebay.pl/itm/372489522475

There are two rear ones, only the earlier horseshoe shape one is available. ‎

this threw me as I thought 'flat steel with two bolts' referred to the both bolts were at the SAME end

although why this would refer to front mount was my mis-reading it.

but anyway, if you do find the REAR mount do let us know :-) I don't think ther eis any oil in the front one, I have a damaged one here with a missing captive bolt, scrap-yard chopped the bolt off with grinder . .. . .

Still, have to try these, but if you are brave enough it might be an alternative...

looks to be 25mm too much in height, and you could ADD depth to bring up to correct dims, but not really take it away, unless the height listed is INCLUDING the threaded section? the gap beteeen the bolts could be 'adjusted'?

needs a trip to a dealer or motor factor to check REAL sizes, not those from 'tinternet' ?

On my current 480 I have the other style gearbox mounts so I will not experiment with this one. Still, you can get one for 30€ so... I think it would be worth to experiment whit it, or at least that Is what I would do if I needed one on my car. The total height should be the same as the Volvo one, the measure should include the threaded part. The measurements of the Volvo https://www.drive2.ru/l/7525464/
The gap between the bolts could indeed be 'adjusted', but I would bet that it's very close.
Cheers
