480 Wanted...(Not dead, preferably alive)
Hi
I'm looking for another 480 for purchase early April. I'm not looking for a soggy £350er that needs a tonne of work. I'm at the old broad point of wanting one I can keep under a warm blanket as a weekender now. Regular Volvo garage care and parking 4 miles from the doors in Tescos type thing. I have a V40 for the daily but... 480 is life and nothing makes me happier than getting into one of these.
So, if anyone thinks they may be selling soon or knows anyone who is/seen a half decent one (not the white £6k one...), do get in touch. Pref manual but willing to consider auto for the right car. Any variant.
Thankya......

Thanks guys. definitely want it on the road though. Seen one I'm interested in but of course, that's for sale now and may not still be available early April when I gots the £ for it.
Looking to spend about £1-2k.

Keith Cooper has one or two extra 480's for sale I think. He's not on the forum but I could put you two in touch via e-mail. He's in Southampton.

Oh thank you, if you think there could be something suitable that would be great. I don't mind where in the UK they are really. Just know what I don't want!jamescarruthers wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 11:43 amKeith Cooper has one or two extra 480's for sale I think. I'm finding plenty trawling all classic car sites but some listed at £4k+ just don't really seem worth it! I am considering stretching the budget for the right car.....mebeee.
I'll PM you my email address. Thank you.
Re: 480 Wanted...(Not dead, preferably alive)
Thanks to everyone who has been getting in touch, that’s been really great.
I was going to look at one today but my V40 broke down yesterday with possible drive shaft fail.....and clutch may be at end of life too. So, instead of driving to the joy of 480 I was on a ten mile walk to pick up my friends bike so I can get to work!
Just as a side note, my budget has increased to up to £4000ish (if necessary) to try and get something ‘right nice’ but of course, that might not necessarily be required if there’s nothing about worth that at this time!
Thanks again, lovely people of 480 land.
