Thanks for that Jiff, you have a good memory ! It was Al who wanted some - he hates cleaning the Vesa wheels so he wants to change them on his turbo, thanks to you the Pictors will soon be winging their way over from Germany. He's even threatened to change the Vesas on the GT, but I've stamped on that idea as they are correct for the car. Now I've landed myself with the job of cleaning a 3rd set of Vesas but I don't mind too much now we have Dragon's Breath. Would I be right in thinking that once the've been refurbed they'll be easier to clean ?

Much easier to clean following a refurb! Plus if you’ve got good access post refurb (I.e not fitted yet) then a good coat of a wheel wax, or if you were feeling particularly exuberant, a ceramic coating, would make your cleaning duties MUCH easier.

Alternatively... as you’ll have a spare set, shod them with the same tyres, then swap over at cleaning time, giving you time to clean the spare set at your leisure! :D

Ceramic coating sounds expensive, so I think I'll try the wheel wax. Would Dragon's Breath take it off ?

I was planning on selling the Vesas to pay for the Pictors....
Also, I used to get Al to swap wheels before sorning, going back onto 14inch with the old tyres, but he found all the wheel changes too much poor ole thing, so they go into store with their party tyres these days. Also, our tyres now go out of date before they're worn anywhere near the limit so an extra set would be quite an extravagance.

Actually ceramic coating isn't as expensive as you'd think... Gtechniq C5 is pretty good stuff. watch the demo here.

Once coated (with either a wax or ceramic), you should find you only need a standard soap and water wash, rather than dragons breath, as the wheel crap is sat on top of the slippy coating.

uuurgh - we've had the Pictors checked and fitted, but next problem is that the neither centres from the Vesas or from the standard wheel fit the Pictors :badmood: Looks like we're going to have to bodge something up.

I did worry he didn’t have centre caps for them. How far out are ones you’ve tried so far?
