Hi all
Unfortunately a rather expensive project is forcing me to let go of Skip. It should soon be on www.carandclassic.co.uk but if a forum member is interested please do let me know.
I ask for £3500 as per official valuation by Lancaster Insurance. Timing-belt plus all other belts have just been changed together with front and rear dampers.
As you know, its last MOT was spotless
Let me know.

Re: Skip
Sad to read this frenchfries - does it mean you wont be at any more meets either?
Seems to be a sudden rash of departures from 480 ownership again. I'd love to take Skip off your hands but I really can't justify it. Having seen the car a couple of times now your price is good, I think, but I can get Lily's rear arches done and thus returned to immaculate for a lot less!
Good luck with the sale and don't be a stranger if it goes ahead!

Re: Skip
Well, I am not too happy about it so I could not be asked to detail everything. Subconsciously I want to keep Skip
I am still in 2 minds so I am not really pushing toooo hard.
Was not gonna make Scotland anyway because of work but who knows

Re: Skip
It would be great if you could come to another meet before parting with Skip - hopefully to a better home than James' old car. It sounds as though you will always regret it if you do sell, so we will expect to see you again in the future with Skip II. Either way, don't disappear !!

Re: Skip
Is the project another car? Tell us so we can judge you appropriately!
This got me thinking, what would I consider ditching the 480 for if I could only gave one car. I came up with a DeLorean or a DS. But if I could afford either of those I wouldn't need to get red of the relatively cheap 480!
Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear this David and hope you do reconsider as you have a great example there.

Re: Skip
DS World be good but you get no change for £15K.
My project is smaller and fairly straightforward and I would be missing Skip but this is where funds are tied up. £3.5 is just acquisition cost plus what was spent to bring it right up there
