Most of you won't know this story.

One of the Spanish launch cars was given by Volvo to the king of Spain at it's time, Juan Carlos I. Later in 1989, Volvo also gave him a Turbo (Volvo people had a specific type of costumer in mind), so the 1.7 ES passed to the prince Felipe.

That ES has been for sale on different Spanish sites, but the asking price was always to high for the state of the car which was in quite a ruinous state.

This past weekend the car has been shown in the Madrid classic car fair "Retromovil" and is up for bids on Catawiki. The car has been visited by our man in Madrid and is in a deplorable state. They have given it a botched paint job, rear lights sealed with silicone, interior is also quite poor condition with holes in the upholstery, rotten dashboard, destroyed speedo, etc. Engine was a few months ago half dismantled, clutch is dead, exhaust needs complete replacement.

Well.... Actual bid is on 6000€ and is expected to end up in some 20.000€... Crazy

Yeah. I went to the post office to drop the rearlights for Danny. I gave them the number of the parcel. It's not even in their system. Shame...
