SOLD - 480 Turbo (1991 H Reg, Richmod, 90K Miles)

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

SOLD - 480 Turbo (1991 H Reg, Richmod, 90K Miles)

My 480 Turbo is finally up for sale, regrettably, I've moved onto Japanese cars now, and despite the amount of work I put into my 480 it's just not being used. I'll update with pictures later on, when I've cleaned it. If people are interested, call me, I'll be honest about anything!

So the details!

-1991 H Reg Turbo (Black Manifold, earlier Engine).
-90K Miles
-Tons of Service History, and I mean loads! I'd say complete, but there's probably a few pages missing.....

I've just carried out the following (within 500miles).

- New Genuine Volvo Clutch, Including Flywheel Skim, new Release Bearing, new clutch cable, and conversion to the later type (smoother clutch mechanism) which includes Pedal, Release Arm, and Adaptor Bracket.

-New Timing Belt, New Tensioner, New Idle Pulley. Contitech Branded.
-New Water Pump / Thermostat.
-New Aux Belts
-Full Service (All Oils, Fluids, Filters)

Other Stuff

-Recent new Alternator
-Tyres are all good (Goodyear F1's on Fronts, Khumo KU31's on rear)
- Full Leather Interior (From Celebration 480, so it's the softer stuff)
- Celebration Alloys
- Digital Clock.
- 12Months MOT (No Advisories!)

Bad Points

-It's currently SORN, and I've only got temporary insurance to get it MOT'd.

-Drivers side rear arch is starting to go, It's a long way from needing serious attention, but I'd do something about it.

-Paintwork isn't great, It's faded red, not quite pink yet, but a good polish / wax should sort it.

-Minor dings, scratch on roof (not to metal), Bumper sticker is cracked and peeling.

-Possible leak in the boot, although I'll be looking at this.

I'd love to see this car go to an enthusiast. It's a new clutch / timing belt so thats a major amount of work that won't need doing.

The car served me well, until the clutch went and I had to take it off the road (I bought another 480!). I didn't rush doing the work, and because I thought I was keeping it, I spent a lot of time and effort ensuring everything was perfect.

Not sure yet Lee, trying to avoid breaking it. If i did break it, I'd want to sell all the seats together.

I dropped the engine, and removed the box when it was out of the car. To do a release bearing, is as much effort to do the clutch.
