FOR SALE - Volvo 480 Turbo Oyster Metallic 1990

Post by Edward » Sun Sep 23, 2007 5:22 pm

:)

Hi Team my 480 is up for grabs i live in hythe kent. I have also listed it on ebay here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volvo-480-Turbo-O ... dZViewItem

so just paste that into your browser for full pics and stuff...

here is my full description, let me know if anyone is interested .... :

Volvo 480 Turbo Oyster Metallic 1990

Up for auction here is my beloved volvo 480 ! She is my third 480 and is a brilliant example of the breed. I am a 480 enthusiast and am member of 480 club Europe.

She is gorgeous looking and oozes style and good taste and above all has proved to be very reliable ! Its MOT is up March 2008 and sailed through its last one.

History:

Was originally destined to live in Belgium but was imported in 1990 by the original owner who was a quaker no less ! I still have the original documents for this from a Belgium volvo dealer. I have loads of service history for the cars entire life, including the original volvo service booklet and volvo folder with many stamps in it about to about 50k miles. I am the 4th owner and I think its fair to say that all the owners have kept her in a brilliant state up upkeep. A lot of money has been spent on the car over the years.

Exterior:

The paint work is in fabulous condition and I just the love the colour of this baby, very classy ! Colour coded bumpers add to the all round good looks.. I have a small pot of original volvo touch up paint that the winner can have in the correct finish. I also have the original volvo roof rack that was designed for this car, not in the pics but will be included in the auction.

Interior:

Usual 480 cloth interior, no rips in any of the upholstery and all seats are clean throughout. Cant emphasize how comfortable these seats are. The drivers side has a brilliant lumbar support control and is very very relaxing to drive in. Comes complete with a sony CDX-L480X cd player with when combined with the original volvo speakers actually sounds really good. I am a musician and can appreciate the pleasing tone this stereo can generate !

Engine:

At 84,000 genuine miles she still has loads of life left in her, my last volv did up to 170,000 easy and was the bodywork that was going more than the engine... Smooth and consistent drive, with still plenty of pull still generated from the turbo. Has a pleasing tone has proved very reliable. I have all paper work to back up the mileage.

Recent Additions:

Serviced about 2 months ago including oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter and a few general engine tweeks.

New battery

2 new front tyres

Front brakes discs and pads

New Alternator

All electrics checked over and replaced wiring where necessary

Front exhaust

Back exhaust

many more ...

Electrics:

None of the problems usually associated with 480's here, everything works fine including pop up lights, speedo, petrol gauge, ECU windows etc ... Another cool feature when you put the radio on the electric aerials goes up ! Nice ! To the uninitiated the 480 is riddles with loads of great useful electronics including a great trip computer and various other gizmos !

Drive:

A fabulous car to drive and best of all really cool looking, cruise around in style, plenty of torque with the turbo, but i've by no means thrashed her around, I like just cruising around in her. But for an old car is surprisingly quick when needs be. It has been used daily for the 2 years I have had her.

Bad Bits:

It is a 17 year old car so there is going to be a few bad bits these are:

Small low profile dent in the passenger door at the bottom, not that noticeable, only in certain lights this can be seen. Also in the same door the inside of the door handle is some rust nothing much and hasn't spread at all since i have owned it, very much localized to the inside door handle pocket. Again not noticeable just saying for completeness sake. Usual minor parking scrapes here and there on bumpers, nothing major ...

No other rust on the car at all, none on arches body work is near mont apart from this.

I have a spare 480 door in matching colour that the winner is welcome to have, I just never got round to swapping them over... Will need to be arranged by the winner when collected...

Auction End:

This car has been well looked after and I would like to see it go to a good home. Only serious bidders on this car please, i will not at all hesitate to report a miss paying bidder.. the winning bidder buys as simple as that !

The car is taxed to the end of September, if the winning bidder would like more I can get more tax for it at cost price if required ..

Winning bidder must collect and pay cash for the car within 3 days of the auction end unless arranged prior with myself.

Potential buyers are welcome to view the car and test drive, but only if you intend to buy.

I can be contacted on:

01303 771314 daytime
01303 269693 evening

Feel free to email me any questions and bid with confidence with my 100% rating from over 400 transactions.

This is a rare chance to buy a brilliant car, and I am only selling her so i can buy a ... volvo 480 GT !!!

Happy Bidding ! :o

LOL what twat offered a metro as swap, I'd rather chance being hit by a car myself than let the metro kill me by being in it when another car collides with it!

 Another quality BL product! Nearly as bad as the yellow fiat couple I was offered as a swap when we sold mums Celeb on ebay. Some desperate people out there.

So long as its just bodywork I'd be interested.

Would you mind uploading a pick or two?
