personally i think 480s are too cheap sometimes. like if you take a look on autotrader the prices start at £3.5K and go down to a few hundred. i bought mine for £1000 exactly about a year ago and it had 90-odd thousand on the clicker but drives like new. they seem to get to about 90K and plummet in price which I think is not a true reflection of the car's longetivity and the fact that they seem to go on forever if looked after properly.
but i do remember reading about kirsty's drenched footwell which will mean, i reckon, some rust on the floor under the carpets which hasn't been treated. this is a big job trust me to get everytihng out to sort this.
however, on the plus side 40K miles is something i'd kill 4.
p.s. anyone noticed the 480 on autotrader with only 17,000 miles on it. oh man if only i had 4 grand that beautiful 2 tone would be mine.

My dad's got a V70 estate - 2.5 Turbo Diesel, Automatic. It's not a bad car, and I have to say I'm impressed at how quickly it moves for a diesel. He also throws it into corners at speeds I wouldn't dare in either of my 480's! (... well, maybe my lowered one!)dragon wrote:My missus is after a V70 estate all of a sudden - all because I said we should get a volvo estate for lugging tack, dog and arcade machine sin (I had in mind a 740 or something, now she's seen a load of 4 anf 5 year old V70s etc in the local Volvo dealer... *sigh*

if you think about it..... a car with that low mileage means that its had a lot of town driving which not many cars like.... it clogs them up
I want a 480 :(
