eBay lovely looking cheap ES at Volvo dealer.

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

If I had space, i'd be having this I think. It's at Cecil & Larter in Bury St. Edmonds, who I think supplied mine new. Ends 20 August 11:23.

Agreed - if I had the space I'd be all over that. The GT is great but I have a soft spot for the pre-facelift cars too.

Do you think they covered the clusters and the bumper in vegetable oil to get that shot?? Looks brand new! Maybe they have a stash of clusters in their spares department and no-one has told them what they are worth now

It has just been re-listed:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-480-ES- ... SwutpZlxoL

Strange to sell as "spare or repair though". Looks like its got aircon as well. Maybe 1 owner from new and well looked after, who knows.

I hope it will not be broken for spares........

Spare or repairs just means they don't have as many come backs when it's got a bit of grot on it.

Odd it was relisted. I wonder if it's because the pictures weren't working on the original listing?

No aircon, early cars had pushbutton VEM but with left buttons blanked.

I remember that from my first one which, although white outside, was identical to this one inside.

I couldn't resist prising off the little plastic cover to discover the three bank air-con switch hole underneath it...

This one almost looks like a twin of yours, James!

But Lee (the wife and SWMBO) has already said no...just on seeing the picture; I think she read my mind... :(

SWMBO has talked me out of my latest purchase as well; she had a pretty good argument as having three 480's (if I include the one my dad is driving in) means the other two get less attention, and it doesn't make sense to have two identical cars trying to maintain in good condition whilst having little time to drive them and have only storage space for one.
