Myself, VBBro and Brasco (&WD?) fancy a preChristmas drink, and hopefully to ketchup up with Suddy when he returns from his Eurotour for a debrief on his adventures. Probably very early December.

Will be a Saturday, if we're feeling flush might even get in some go-carting or bowling then into town for some grub/drinks/etc after.

Venue will be the lovely Roman walled city of Chester, I have 2 spare bedrooms if anyone wants to stay over the border Sat night, or there is loads of hotels, b&b's in and around Chester too.

Might be a good chance to get your Christmas shopping sorted too as Chester's WKD for that kinda thing, and is also pretty nice with all the lights up/etc that time of year. http://www.chesterimages.com/chester_1/ ... w/snow.htm

Will post out an exact date when we find if Suddy is to return before 2006 A European Odyssey!

So if not everyone is North of the border (ie Scotland!) and there's more than the four of us, I'll be happy to recommend best accom to suit budgets (ie £30 crashpad or £200 treat the other half to a night in the Grosvnor!).

Any questions, just let me know. :D

Me and Stu feel we can’t let the Scots get the better of us so we are organising our own meeting :P

Na just kidding, it would be nice to catch up with everyone and find out about Suddy’s million mile test drive and see everyone before Christmas.

I fancy go-karting if everyone is up for it :D

Date will be Saturday 10th of December.

Will finalise time for go-carting sesh and post by this weekend with cost/time - and no transplanting your turbo onto the cart Brasco! If there's an odd number we'll probably do a GP, or if even numbers, the endurance in teams of two is a gas.

I thought if we looked around mid-afternoon carting then into the city around 5/6pm when most of the shoppers are calling it a day?

Those this side of the border can meet at mine - for the others will sort time and place easy to find and post by this weekend also.

If anyone wanting to kipp over can let me know asa as already had 1 prelim booking, but still have 1*spare b.room + 2*sofas.

If anyone has any other ideas of what they might like to do let me know amgios.

Stu.

OK amigos, here's the carting venue>>>>>>>>>>

http://www.thecircuit.co.uk

2 race options for the Saturday would either be the Mini GrandPrix (£35 for approx 2hrs) or their Arrive&Drive (£12.50 for 1/4hr).

The MGPrix is best VFM, and super competative as only the top 6 drivers get to go through to the final race.

Times: Arrive&Drive - anytime
Mini GrandPrix 13:00

From there we'll head into Chester centre for some post race grub/pub crawl where you're pretty spoilt for choice.

Let me know which you'd prefer.

I think the GP will be the best option, have special consideration for Sarah because last time we were at that track she had to have a kids cart because she couldn’t reach the peddles

Haven’t been for a couple of years so I won’t have any advantage over anyone.

So who is in?

You sure you drove 5,000 miles around Europe last week? ;)

Only kiddin Suddy. Liverpool is a gas, especially the Matthew St music festival but, bit late to change plans if we're doing this. Chester is dead easy to get to From Wigan (M6/56) and shouldn't take any longer, plus you can always stay over if you're having a few beers.

Re carting: if you don't want to, no worries, I know people are looking after their pennies (for the beer afterwards!) and we'll only do it if there's at least 3/4 people up for it anyway as per the meet.

WD, Brasco - waddya upto? Anyone else interested?

That's the spirit Suddy.

 Well, it doesn't have to be spirits, beer's good too!

I hadn't done carting since I went on an electric one at Rhyl fair way back, then went last year for 1st time on proper carts with all the gear (helmets, mits, jumpsuits, 45mph carts) and it is such a good laugh, especially when your racing a few amigos. I always end up having a grudge match and forget the race after I get spun off.

Anyway, I've seen VBBro drive and don't think we've got any competition there to be honest...

Right amigos, had final reply from the carting guys, the only 'bookable' event on Saturday is the GrandPrix - you can check it out on the link few posts back - is £35 instead of the miniGP £32.50 so basically £2.50 extra!
£35 might sound a lot, but trust me, this is a fantastic track and you'll certainly get your monies worth as will be 2/3hrs of pure adrenaline rush fun.

Starts at 1pm with de-brief and 5practice laps to familiarise you with cart and track. Then the fun really begins.... :D

I'm assuming there's 6 of us - Me, VBB&Sarah, WD, Brasco & Suddy - although anyone else is welcome of course, please can you all confirm below anyway as they've asked me to confirm DEFINATE numbers.

Please also confirm - when and where you are meeting us (ie - Ruabon/racetrack/in Chester) - what time - ta!

Stu.

Dear Stuart,

On Saturday 10th December we have a Grand Prix starting at 1pm. This is
priced at £35.00 per driver and finishes at approx 4.30pm.

Spaces are limited on this event and must be pre-booked. If you wish to book 6 places please reply to this email or call The Circuit Raceline on 01244
531652.

Regards

No worries Suddy, we'll be in town around 5-6pm onwards, will post exact when and where next week.

I've now booked and paid the (non-refundable) £35 deposit for 6 places at the 1pm Grand Prix (move over Button and DC!).

Got a couple of lads from work interested to make up the numbers if req. The circuit has confirmed it will be a full GrandPrix with all places booked so should be a corker, lots of competition for us 480 owners to fend off!

So places booked & deposit paid for:
Me
Welsh Dragon
Brasco
Volvo Big Bro (NEED TO KNOW IF SARAH IS COMING/RACING AD)
Andy and Tony from work to make up the 6 (A3 Sport & Saxo VTS owners so bit of compo there).
