Scottish convoy to meet...

Post by Murf » Thu Sep 08, 2005 4:22 pm

Having recieved official permission from Mrs Murf i'm now fully up for the lincs meets!
If any of the scottish members that are going fancy a convoy then put your name down here!
its should take about 5 1/2 hours to get there from edinburgh according to the talking slug so i suggest we all meet up at some obvious point on the A1, that will save the west coasters the drudgery of having to enter edinburgh itself!
time wise i reckon 7.30 ish as that should get us there for about one so we can invade the campsite early and get a tent spot near to the pub

any takers?

Asda on the A1 coz we all know where it is now  , better to leave earlier though - remember the meet starts at 12, so arriving at 1pm isn't that early Murf................remember English licensing laws mean early closing

EDIT - just spoken to Murf and such is his desire to be able to step out of the tent and onto a barstool  - he's up for meeting at Asda at 6am-

must remember to bring that bottle of pink goo with me.........it's already melted through the kitchen cupboard and I'm concerned it will disolve my joists :?
wha d'ya fink Rohan?.......you gonna mosey on across wiv Murf?

@Joolz -How long does it take you to get to Scotch Corner m'dear? I'll give you a call or text you, whilst en-route so you're not hanging around waiting for us.

Joolz always likes to be early, don’t you Joolz. You were waiting 40 minutes for us when we were en route to the scotts meeting.

well, me Roo and Rohan have put our heads together and decided that we should meet you guys at scotch corner as well. we are going to travel the m74 cos its much quicker for us rather than go through to edinburgh and then down.

is that ok with you guys?

@ Murf - okay - that's cool
according to multimap it takes about 2 hours to get from Scotchpie Corner to High Marnham.

What about we all meet at the Travel Lodge at the services at 9-9.30am, leaving at 10am, that gives us 1 hour for anyone running late to catch up, and for us to have a break and a "luvly cup 'o tea"TM and we *should* :scared: arrive in High Marnham at about 12. :D

Joolz has just said the timing is good for her - what do you think Murf, Roo, Rohan?

Sounds good to me, scotch corner is about 2.5 to 3 hours from glasgow (depending on speed ;) ) IIRC so we'll be up early. I just need to get from aberdeen to glasgow now. Maybe if i start thumbing it tonight i'll be there in time.

Wait until it's red eyes light up and stare at you. Run boy because VADER is gonna get you. I think Blinky is the only one safe (until she is chased by VADER)

I think Vader will be more than happy to give an autograph, stick some newspaper underneath and Vader can sign with dribbles of ATF fluid :P
