September Weekend Meet ?

We have come across a nice camping spot at the side of the River Trent close to Lincoln. The plus to this is it is also a very nice old country pub and I know the landlord ( V handy

).

Plenty of room, in fact having just been down there today, they had just had a MG meet. Toilets, Showers, pub Food, Skittle alley.

Is there something nearby with hot and cold running chambermaids? Camping doesn't appeal too much after Glastonbury (it was damn cold)

Well having been to the European meet in Lux, and several of our continental friends expressing an intrest in coming to the UK for a meet
any ideas you have will be welcome. The Welsh meet was a little soon for some of them.

Lots of places to visit around Lincoln, we could do a tour (150Km) like in Lux.

Really cool all cars in convoy, maybe drive to the east coast for the Sunday.

Looking at 17th - 19th September. The Pub is great for Meals and you can almost fall straight into your tent after a nights drinking if you wish.

Plenty of B+B's in and around Lincoln for those not wishing to camp.

Ideal Plan

Sat - Arrive and get tents set up.
Meet new and old faces
Look at cars, sort any problems
(always some niggle needs sorting)
Have a meal at the Pub

Sun - Tour to coast or other place of intrest
Stop on way back for Meal or again eat at the pub

Mon - Pack up
Say Goodbyes

Camping in September is great - it's always lovely and hot in the daytime and doesn't often rain.

Alison and I have been camping at Burghley horse trials every September for the last 3 years, and shall be again this year, so no organising this meet for between the 1st and 4th

Well finally got details of costs

Hi Wayne,

Yes, both Fiona and I are fine, and business is picking up nicely.

As to your Volvo 480 meeting on the 17, 18 19th September; that date is fine for your visit.
As to cost for camping, we charge Â£7.50/night/tent. It's the same price for a caravan. We don't charge for cars/people etc. If anyone has a caravan, we charge Â£7.50/night, and Â£10 if they require an electrical hook. (We have limited numbers of hook-ups)
The only rules are; no open fires (as they ruin the grass for other campers) and please respect the 30mph speed limits through the villages on the approach.

If you friends want to take a look at the Brownlow, they can either pay us a visit, or go to www.thebrownlowarms.co.uk

The prices on the web site are out of date
And we'll look forward to seeing you all in September.

So were looking at Â£15 per tent for the weekend.
Sadley we carnt take the bouncy castle here but plenty of fun to be had if we go to Skegness on the Sunday.

I'll ask Coyote to do a register on the main site.

but how is it done with dogs gettings into the uk nowadays?
do they still need to be in quarantine for 6 weeks?

Regards bringing dogs into the Uk im not sure think its ok now if they have a pet passport and are chipped etc prehaps your vet can tell you or good old Google.
