OK, folks! I understand that for you all, Portugal is a little bit far. But, as Levi said, 480's are made to drive.
 On the other hand, we are a sunny country, with great coastal area, excellent gastronomy, with nice and wellcoming people and with an excellent number of Volvo addicts. :volvo:
We can arrange good camping site, (eventually for free), near the sea, near a big river with lots of activities, (fishing, diving, drinking, etc.), that we can organize. I think, if we arrange for an European meeting in Portugal between May and June 2006, it will be an overwhelming experience for all of us. So, let's go for it!!!
I want to hear you all on this subject!!!

Yay, Mr & Mrs laserowl would be up for this (depends when exactly), a mega long trip but not too bad if we share the driving.

Hope you can get this one off the ground, plenty of pre planning is the key. I think. :D

Good Luck with it Sis.

And if you buy a 480 today, it will be much better than buying it tomorrow.
Good to see you around here Levi. It seems that we can go for it!!

As everybody proposes his own country to organize the meeting, I'll propose mine too : Belgium.

In 2006, the new volvo C30 production will start.
This car can be considered as the new 480 ...
The production will start in Ghent - Belgium.
I already asked volvo ghent if it was possible to visit the production plant and they said it was possible but ,it seems that for this summer, it will be a little tricky as they are preparing the production lines for the new C30 and they don't want any external to see it before the official release.
A C30 prototype has already been build.
From Belgium, it is also very easy (less than 1h 1/2 drive) to get to Born ...
Plus there are 480 cabrios in Belgium ...
This country has the largest amount of breweries per citizens ...
Petrol is cheap ... 8)
...

Hi!
Just to say that I haven't died, nor the idea of a 2005 meeting in Portugal. I am preparing things. We will talk again in September.
I wish you all the more glorious possible hollidays.

Because there's nothing worth celebrating there, by all accounts...

I would have thought Holland would be the best place though, since the badge on the car says "Made in the Netherlands" :dunno:

I'd be up for that convoy :D
