There is no entry fee to use the cafe at Tissington - we aren't going to the hall's gardens.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Always like driving to a nice cafe to 'ave a brew.

I'd love to go and meet everyone, but unfortunately my 480 has gone in for some crucial welding, and it's my only car.
I could technically go on the train, however seeing as it's a convoy I'd have to be jogging behind everyone
Real shame as I'd otherwise go.

Maybe next time then :D

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone on the forum near me in Surrey. Getting there isn't the problem as I can take the train easy enough.

The three of us will join you for breakfast at Wooton, Northampton and then head home. A good introduction to a full meet when he is a bit older. It will be nice to catch up with some of you lovely people.

I know it's a 480 meet, but is anyone attending interested in seeing the 440 if I bring her instead? Or should I stick true to the theme? :D

OK then - provided we won't be banished for having the wrong car, we'll come in the 440 :D

I shall do my best to join in for breakfast and then unfortunately I'll have to head off - not sure what I'll be driving but I'm afraid it won't be a 480 this time, more on that another time and in another thread! :wall:

The day went off very well, the weather was kind and David forced himself to give me the keys to Paris. I had a minor glitch in that the drivers door has dropped and after David and Al set off I found I couldn't close the door from the inside. I had to run after hubby so he could come back and shut me in. David had adjusted the door as far as he could, but by the end of the day it was getting very difficult to close. Edwin had a look and confirmed that the bottom hinge is starting to crack away from the weld. I am now relegated to using the tradesman's entrance, but that didnt stop me using Paris to go to the dentist today, even though Snazzy is taxed for this month.

The weather was so nice that Tissington was very busy, so we couldn't get the cars parked together for photos. I was pleased to find that a father and son with a lovely black 480 I'd chatted to at the Volvo 600 had come along for the meet. The car is the son's first one, he took his test in it recently. It seems to be the coming 'thing'. Another 'meetings newbie' was David, who bought Edie's white turbo. I'd only recently realised that he was the self same David we'd bought Eva from back in 2015.

Off we went to Derwent Dam, where we had the same problem with parking. By the time it had thinned out enough for us to all park together for photos, some members had left but here are the photos of those of us still there.
