Volvo 480 Club Europe

Sorry we won't be able to join you for the Hampshire-Lincolnshire meet, as we will be in the wilds of Cornwall with the family from 6th Aug.

In other news, there was a 'micro-meet' last week on my birthday, when Nilani and PUD met near DCWalker's home turf in York



PUD is an amazing specimen!

David is a true afficionado of the wedgie marque Top bloke!



We noticed Nilani's front offside tyre was somewhat flat and stopped off at a 'Service Station' to add air, only to find it required cash (£1 coin) (we use cards only these days..) an out of service ATM and an uncooperative attendant who refused to do cash back.... actually a no-service station. I hope you fare better on the August meet!

Pud is looking even better now, top bloke dc has resprayed a replacement front bumper and fitted it. I knew the pamper parlour was a great place for her to go to.

Nilani is looking great as well - full marks to both of you !

Just updated the schedule - Sunday afternoon stop for tea/coffee/snacks will be The Petwood Hotel, Stixwould Road, Woodhall Spa LN10 6QG. They have a room set aside for memorabilia of 617 Squadron (the dambusters). Al will love that !

I need to know numbers for both days, so everyone please let me know your plans.

Hopefully your fix on the clutch cable has put your 480 back on the road, but you are more than welcome in anything !

Anyone else for the photos at Volvo Daventry ? Very low numbers at the moment.

If you are planning to come along for any part of the weekend please let me know - I need to start confirming numbers at the various venues soon.

Ok so things have progressed a bit since last this came up. The clutch is now well and truly fixed, but my availability may be sketchy. That being said I can definitely do thruxton, as it is so close to me it is more difficult to not go

As for Silverstone, I am not sure I would be able to go, it is quite a long way and we are packing up our house at the moment ready for a rebuild. It depends on how I feel for the drive up really, but Thruxton is a definite, sorry to be awkward

No problem, at least we will see you at Thruxton.
I packed my house up in 2008 for a full rewire, still haven't unpacked it all !!

No, no, all good with my 480 and we are in the Silverstone cafe now.

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend meet.will definitely be at the next one hopefully in R3(Jeff)if we can sort the electrical gremlins.
