well, as mentioned somewhere else, my spare room currently looks like this:

Like to see you keep your seats and bits nice warm and comfy
Good to see you both Al and Jeff :D

Al - that is pretty much what I was going to say...

Also, Jeff, you're allowed a whole spare room for your 480 parts??!!

Here’s my project:
As Snazzy is both ‘just’ an ES and very high mileage (230k), she is the least valuable of our 480s so she is going ‘non standard’ in some respects. I’d like to copy this idea on the headlights:
Image

So, what to use to blackout the headlamps ? It’s just a photo found on the internet so I can’t ask. There’s lettering underneath so I think it must have been done with signwriter’s vinyl laminate but is that heat resistant? Would it peel? Did they just do this for the photos?
Maybe it would be better to add a piece of black metal to the frame, or some sort of heat resistant plastic or fibreglass or is there a paint that would both take on glass without peeling and resist heat ???
Erm...why? :dunno: :dunno:

Sylvia's blue 480 ES is nearly ready and looks fabulous. Final paint work and then, on the road, after almost 2 miserable years off the road. SNAZZY, rises from the ashes......................hooray.
Never have I seen Paris Blue look so deep in colour as per that paintshop sneak preview... looked great.

Mines a 1994 Turbo Al... with more rust than I planned for... but welding is behind us now... should of been finished two years ago but life gets in the way!

This lockdown is getting boring now. TVR is still SORN until pub gardens open again... and such fantastic weather too!
Is your TVR a Griffiths with the 4.7/5

I've always thought a 480 with the lights up looks surprised - but not if they're this shape...

more cut and paste :

Coronavirus ??

Actually, we have a dust-storm - it's blue skies and sunshine but very windy and the farmer's recently ploughed his field of light sandy soil.
Yesterday it was getting in the front of the house so in the evening I spent an hour hoovering the bedroom and changing the sheets while Al hosed down the garage, garden plants, Eva's cover and the whole front of the house. So much for cleaning the outsides of the windows yesterday morning ! Then Al realised he'd left the Saab's windows open.....
Trouble was it started up again in the night and today it's blowing the other way so now all the rooms at the back have gritty dust as well, together with a thick layer on every conceivable surface outside. I wish it would rain, but this is the driest county in England.
That's our Sunday taken care of.

Its an early 'pre-cat' 4.0... makes the 480 feel well built

Friday I drove cross country from Wisbech to Littleport and the wind-driven dust coming off the fields was incredible!

Engine bay competition - post your photo on the forum for judging by Jeff, who is giving a prize for this one – will he choose the cleanest or maybe the most original, or perhaps he’ll look for an interesting work-around for a common 480 problem or a nifty gadget.
Here’s my pic of Lily’s bay

And Al’s pic of Eva

We have a shortage of engine bay pics, does anyone have one still to post ?

We were supposed to start the quiz at 7.30 but there only seem to be a very few people online at the moment. Even jifflemon seems to have disappeared. I really wanted to do it 'live' so there wasn't time to look the answers up. Not sure what to do....

Just noticed looking at the engine bays that the shock absorber struts are held in by bolts at the top, some are head at the top others are nuts at the top. Not very important but unusual.
