Volvo 480 Club Europe

Date is now decided, 12th May, hope that's good for everyone who wants to come.
The route will be much the same as last year so we will be driving Snake Pass again and will hopefully shoot some video footage to share afterwards.
Start - Northampton, book the Wootton Travelodge if you want to stay overnight on the Friday.
Our final destination will probably change to Glossop as there was no convenient accomodation anywhere near The Ford Inn.
More details to follow.
Please let me know if you are thinking of coming - I need an idea of numbers to organise a successful day.

Sorry - not been on here much recently as not been doing too well. But definitely aiming to make this - even if it is just me on my own this time (12th May is somewhere close to Lee's dissertation deadline!)

I do hope to come along. USG (usual state goosed) is once again laid up in the garage suffering from a range of inexplicable electrical ailments and a sad lack of MOT - May 12th would be a doable target to get her back on the road though and it would be great to see the line up of cars once again and to meet up with all you wonderful folks to talk about the joys of 480 slavery

Final destination is now booked - The Royal Hotel in Hayfield, Derbyshire 01663 742721
They have a few rooms available for the 12th, and there are several other hotels as well as B&Bs in the town so hopefully enough accomodation for everyone who wants to stay over.

Meeting point will be the Toby Carvery next door to the Travelodge at Northampton Wootton, postcode NN4 0TG. Al and I will be there from 8.30am. All-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is excellent value for those who arrive hungry. NB we leave at 10am sharp on the first leg of our journey to the Derbyshire Peak District.
Anyone who can't make the start is very welcome to join us at one of our other stops as we head north.
Further details to follow soon, hope to see as many 480 friends as possible.

We're off to Scotland tomorrow and planning to call in at the The Royal Hotel in Hayfield to check it out. It's the final destination for the 12th May meeting - hopefully they will now have their May menu available. Only just over a month to go !
