We ate here, the food was good and the starters turned out to be big enough for our lunch. Check out the website for the menu - it's out of date but hasn't changed much. The landlord said that the 'small' option is a good size meal.

I too am only able to join up from the Derwent Dam section, though not due to poorly dog

I'm aiming to be there by about 2.30 or so, possibly with my wife & 2 year old daughter, depending on whether I can get the car seat to fit (rear belts are a non-starter for fitting a seat).

See you there - I can pm you my number if you like too, so we can communicate on arrival - I suspect it shouldn't be too difficult to spot us

Thanks everyone. Alas my hound won't be getting better but I am determined for us to have a lot of fun while she is still with us. I was toying with the idea of brining her along as she came to the last 480 meet I went to many moons ago, but it is a long way and I think she'd prefer to stay at home and have a nice long walk with other family members

Thanks for the phone numbers, @ Martin, I'm aiming for the same time so thats great. Like you say a bunch of 480's won't be hard to spot.....it's going to be lots of fun.

Cleaned Lily last weekend and she has been under her cover all week; have to unwrap her again tomorrow as taking her on Friday night to come straight on to this meet on Saturday, so hoping it stays dry and she doesn't turn up with measles due to beading dusty rain!

Getting really quite excited about this now...so many people who have just been names, and cars there have only been photographs of, suddenly becoming real and showing the world that the 480 is not as unloved as the motoring press has always wanted everyone to believe

Forgot to say - lots of great photo opportunities, so bring a camera if your phone isn't the quality you'd want. We can do a photo-share afterwards as well.
Sadly looks like Lethal Lily won't be back from the bodyshop in time, so I'll probably be in Evil Eva instead. She's currently in storage and I won't have time to clean her properly

Mine's gonna jump out of it's proverbial skin when I show it a sponge and a vacuum in the same day It's normally covered in a healthy layer of road grime on the outside and the cockpit ankle deep with various shit and fag ash and the boot full of tools and car/engine related gubbins! It never normally gets an interior and exterior clean in one sitting! It's normally a quick jetwash when the mood takes me and a rubbish dumping pit stop at the skip in the yard at work about once a week Not a fan of cleaning cars... (as if that really needed saying!)

I need to put my atlas wheels+legal tyres back on the front too, I still have my barely/not even close to legal 15"s on it from the track day Stick like flies to a fresh turd in the dry, not so good in the wet

Tomorrow's the day for me, had to go to a funeral earlier so booked both days off work, one for the funeral, one for giving the 480 some love, pre Saturday It's probably still gonna look a shitheap next to some of these others, just remember, hardworking daily car so please cut it some slack accordingly, I'll try and make it look presentable... promise...

Ade, I wouldn't worry - just park up next to me - original paintwork, some dents and a fairly ugly repair to the wheel arch & sill, not to mention a couple of nasty cracks in the windscreen (not MOT fails, so not dealt with yet). Exhaust is probably on the way out and wheels could do with a refurbish, plus my DIY repair to one of the DRLs... Not pretty!!

(But I love her!!)..

Besides, if you park near me, you'll be able to help get her restarted when she's hot..

That's not cleaning, I left the spider's webs in there! The side clips of my bumper have been off for ages (years!) so tightened up the clips and put the bumper back on. Still sits a bit low but much improved.

I'm pleased we are going on our little trip as there are some little niggles i've been putting off and this is the encouragement to do a few.
