2017 meet ups?

Anyone planning or know of any meets happening this year in the south?

I don't know of any but would be up for one too. I am in Cambridge.

I'm based in the North West (Lancashire) and would happily consider meet ups in the Midlands, South, North West or wherever ! My car is a 480S, 1994 in good running order, 46K miles, Black and pretty much rust free (only comes out on dry days).

I'm next. I'm based in the south in Buckinghamshire. I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance for a meet.

I have a '95 turbo - storm grey - only comes out when dry too. Looking forward to the summer and getting my 480 out and about a bit more.

I'm game. I'm near Northampton, I don't think the Saab powered one will be ready in time but I might be able to turn up in a standard turbo! Or I might still be hooning around in the 'donor Saab' (which now has an unlocked ECU and a stg2 tune ready for the swap.... Horsepower anyone?!? ) but whatever I happen to be driving at the time, I'd be up for a meet.

I see the Volvo Enthusiasts Club have plenty of events on. Is anyone a member? Maybe we should all join and go their events as an exclusively 480 meet in the UK won't be that we'll attended, I would have thought.

Great shout James! I'll definitely look at getting to at least a couple of these events. Probably not the June Shepton Mallet one though, as baby number 2 is due to be born that week!!

I would still be up for a 480-specific meet up though at some point, if we can get ourselves organised...

That is a good idea James. I'd be up for that too. I went to a general Volvo meet once a few years ago. I took my 480, but there were only 3 there, no group display or anything. It would be great to attend a the Club

Of course, I just noticed that the events shown on the volvoenthusiast club website are all 2016. My car is in partial time-warp condition, but it isn't (yet) an actual time machine

We should all have a look for future events along the same lines for 2017 and post our findings here

Hi All

I'm in Oxfordshire so would be happy to meet midlands or south area.

The car has been having lots of done , the normal stuff infocentre, wiring, water ingress. This will be my first year of using it properly and I am looking forward to swapping stories with other 480 owners.

Sadly, my 480 is imaginary at the moment. I've a dirty great big V70 though, so at least the badge is right!

Thats the plan. Finding one the spec/condition/price is a waiting game, but I'd sooner wait for the right one rather than rush into a money pit (#BeenThereDoneThat)
