UK Meeting 29th/30th/31st? May - Your 480 needs YOU!

Gentlemen and ladies,

We have a slight problem - whilst there was a good amount of interest here on the forum for the 480 meet in Devizes in May bank holiday, it has come to my attention that only 4 people have actually replied with their confirmation to Chris Grew - this is a big problem, because Chris has a lot of really great ideas for the day, but he isn't prepared to arrange one of the best meets ever until he gets more confirmation. It would be a real shame for this meet to get cancelled due to lack of interest.

In the spirit of give and take, I have asked Chris to make a skeleton agenda which we will post here soon, in the attempt to make you realise that this meet IS something you want to come to.

PLEASE PLEASE, even if you are only 60% sure you can come, email Chris with your interest at: chris@swi.org.uk - and PLEASE send the mail as soon as you read this, rather than leave it till "later" and risk forgetting!

If it will help, I will create an online registration form?

Last years Devizes meet was REALLY awesome, we had a raffler and gave away a handheld GPS unit, a DBS MBC and all sorts of other things - there was food, beer, good chat and a great turnout - please help make this year's Devizes meet just as good, if not better!

Car doesn't need to be there, get a train, or take one 480 and car share with someone!

I'll be doing a 410 mile round trip myself...

But it IS worth it...

I've knocked up a few leaflets using a picture from last year using the clubs web address all the local 480's will have one by thursday this week
lets get on the campaign trail perhaps a note to practical classics or similar car mags . I must admit to being impressed by the turn out last year to all who read here support the club show up (please

can anyone give me a clue as to how far away devizes is from kingsbridge in south devon? i'll be on holiday there from the 29th may so, if it's not going to take all day to get there, i could well make the meeting...
