But unfortunately I'll be graduating this year and its timetabled between the 30th June and 3rd July.

So I doubt I could make it.

Sorry :(
Ian I'm close enough to drag you to this meeting, don't make me do it.

Hello Wayne

Unfortunately the barns are fully booked throughout June 2009 already. The first available weekend is June 26, 27 & 28. The pricing for the camping in the barns for 2008 low season was £8/night/adult and £5/night/child. We have not set the prices for 2009 as yet, but we upgrading the facilities this winter and there is likely to be a fee increase inline with the improved amenities provided.

There will be plenty of room on the campsite over that period if you would prefer to camp. There would be no need to book if you wished to do this and group is less than 20 people. If your group will be over 20 people we request that you complete a booking from and send it in to us. A booking form can be downloaded from the website.

Regards
Iain Blanshard

Manager
Llyn Gwynant Campsite
Please give feedback on these dates please, or just camping without the use of the Barn's earlier in the month.

Well looks like we'll be hard pushed to get a barn, so if this is to go ahead it would be a turn up and pay on the day camping only.

Not sure if I can commit the time required to organise this properly, now that Lee has taken a step away from the 480 scene.

Thanks to all those that have posted, I'll update ASAP.

Rather cancel than it be badly planned and unorganised.

Cheers

Haven't camped for over 3 decades. Must be a b&b nearby - and also no hills to lose me mobile on.
If you like the idea of the New Forest there is a big campsite at WWII aerodrome Holmsley - then I can sleep at home!!
Hopefully I will have a 2L TT by then

I'd like to attend too please.

It's been a long time but it'd be nice to catch up with all the old members and meet some of the new ones.

Hope you're all well!

UPDATE

The barn situation is as expected and would cost too much for us to shell out for upfront. However the site is quite happy for people to just turn up and pay on the day for camping.

I'm afraid that due to work ties / cash i will not be able to do any pre planning. If its a case of lets meet up, do our own thing and not be expecting anyone to have arranged what we are doing then it can still go ahead, without the onus being on Me & the Mrs... or anyone else for that matter.

A meet up, natter, couple of beers still sounds good to me to be honest.

Cheers

Woah sorry for missing this post :s eek.

Anyway, I study in Durham and live (with rents) in Shrewsbury, depending on the date/location I may or may not be able to come.

Graduating etc this year makes it all a little difficult, on a lighter note, car is running awesome and just passed it's MOT :)

Seems like people are forever talking about meetings but no one actually arranges anything.

How about the club sorts out a date/place.

Just do it!!

Have you actually read the whole thread ? If you had you would have noted the place and dates....

However due to the lack of commitment from the forum ( the exception been the usual hard core) we coudn't commit to having the barn this time, and there has been little feedback regards just turning up on the weekend.

Due to the very fragile state of my job at present i carn't put the time in to organise an event properly.

I find your comment's totaly unfounded, i personally have organised meets and even if i say so myself damm good ones.

as far as a Laserowl / Lee organised meet for this year, it is

CANCELLED

Sorry to do this but maybe ginghereed will sort one given his helpful comments.

Come on people lets not give up on this .

The time and place are set ,OK nothing is organized but all we have to do is turn up pitch our tents and get the beer out.

I am sure between us we can find something to do !

So who's in ?

I'll be there so if no others turn up I'll drink all the beer.

Tempted to try and organise a Lincs meet (usual pub), everyone knows how to find it, and knows the bar prices!

Only problem is what to do in the day, we've all seen Lincoln, Skeggy, and Ingoldmells, what else is there to do?

Could even make it a one-nighter, but don't reckon this would go down well with those that have to come from afar.

This is not be taking the reins on this by the way, but if there is enough interest I may do so...

Thoughts anyone?
