Not quite as scary as my high speed rally drive where we jumped over a gap in a cliff (no, i am NOT joking!!), but not far off! It was such fun, i never pushed my car that much, lack of confidence i guess (cant afford to break it!!) but i guess with the right skills the 480 can (dare i say...) be even more fun than it already is!! I am pleased i took up the offer!!!

Well has to be said peeps, what a cracking show, nice putting some names to faces. Seeing some awesome metal, and a rather nice pint of Guinness!

Still I am thinking of adding to the fleet, anyone notice the black Janspeed turbo XJ40? I caught up with the owner and he plans to restore not sell, d'oh!!

Cerberus, that hot wheels van was the mutts ahem! Good old Lee, never fails to spot a really interesting Landy.

All that said Volvo's are very under represented at the show, so some more attendee's next month would be cool!

@ cerbs- Ill defo sort it out for next month but as for this month ill be seeing you on sunday so if any you guys wanna go for a drive to a nice pub in the country ill take the offer up
Offer still stands to esta aswell about driving my crashy hard 480 although a sports bra is recomended

i never pushed my car that much

I wasn't pushing it. At no point was it even close to the limit of pushing it. But one thing you are right about is confidence. I have learnt the 480 the hard and expensive way so know where the limits are for the different modes of driving.

Eg fun, race, speed, mad,towing over the limit.

With the apprenticship of the HOMDV you learn all of the skills need to become mad like me.

Most of all i hope that ESTA found the experience of good tyres and regular servicing of some help on her 480 quest. Lower or not to lower

you really need to get in there before 7 if the weather is good.

Its not worth travelling too far for as its only on for a few hours, not that some people can last that long with so much automotive porn around that you can touch

I can stay at car shows for hours, i went to a good show near me at a village called Ashby Foeville, there was some serious cars there Ultimas, porkies, ferraris, supercharged capri's Rs2000's, old skool american muscle, there was loads of others! I was 480 hunting but mine was the only one present!

You guys aint to far from me, only an hour and a half away!

@ Esta, Yep that kitty was beautiful. I still haven't got rid of my Jag Fetish. A mint series 3 XJ6, XJ40 or XJS is really on the cards over the next couple of years.

The GT can get even less use then!

Wow, man after my own heart...as you can see by my signature, i desperately want an XJR-S (hmmmmmmm) and the XJ40 (as Cerb knows!) is my favourite XJ!! Have such a soft spot for it!! Good taste!! And like you, i would still keep the GT!
