Volvo meet in December

Post by shimon340 » Thu Nov 08, 2007 2:07 am

Hi guys!

The guys at volvo300mania are planning a meet to the peak district in December or first week of Jan. Dates are still under debate but 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and 6th Jan are all possibilities. All dates are sundays.

We are planning a day out in the Peak district and it would be cool to extend the meet to include the 480-club-europe guys too.

Engine swaps from the 400 series to the 300 are becoming more popular and I know some V3M guys also frequent this forum.

There is also the possibility of some Turbobricks guys coming, some C30s from UK members of C30world.com and the North West Section of the Volvo Owners Club.

I'll update this post once a date is decided

would be great to see some of your there!

Shimon

hi guys!

We now have a date and location.

We are meeting on 16th December at http://www.poolescavern.co.uk/

We're going to meet up in the usual Volvo meet style for intros, car chats, maybe a convoy drive around the peaks and we're also planning a trip to Pooles Cavern.

Once more details are decided I'll post an update here.

Would be great to see some 480s there!

Anyone going from the Herts / Cambridgeshire area? Would be cool to travel up in convoy! :-) Almost certainly going! :-) And looking forward to it.

Is there any other information, publications about the event? What's happening etc.

Cheers

Just out of curiosity, are there any charges/costs involved in joining in, apart from of course the petrol to get up there?

Cheers

Apologies to everyone as Wanderer and I won't be able to make it on Sunday, My heater matrix has given out and I'm not travelling upto the peaks in a freezing car I'm afraid.

Plus my wife (where's the under thumb emoticon?) has said we have to go cycling on sunday before going out to our neighbours for dinner in the evening.

I'm giving this some consideration. The prospect of buying a tax disk makes it very unlikely, but i'll let you know if i decide in the positive.

If any of you are on facebook, you can check out some pics, my girlfriend posted them up on her page. Not sure you'll be able to get to them yet as you may need a friend request to see the album.

I'll see about hosting them elsewhere as well, but it may take slightly longer.
