Come on kids...the year is wasting away!! This year is looking like death compared to previous years.

Sure, a lot of that is due to spam, - and increasing numbers of 480s slipping into the underworld (most of them at our own hands!)

I for one am not feeling the love. Wheres the love?

I think we need to pull out a nice meeting and all enjoy some barbecued foodstuffs, select beverages and roaring laughter.

I'm at a loss over where to start...but does anyone know a good campsite.
Ideally we need a separate area to our selves and plenty of parking.

Failing that a B+B might be good.

For those of you who've not been to meetings of the 480 persuasion - you should think of it more as a weekend away with good friends than a meeting focused on the cars; it rarely pans out like that at all!
The only thing traditional "volvo" about a 480 and its owner is the badge.

If anyone can think of a really suitable place then i'm certainly up for helping out kicking a meeting into shape.

Come on guys lets pull up our collective sleeves!!

Well I'm new so I know I don't have too much influence.

But May and Early June are clogged up with Uni Stuff - exams etc, however leave it too late July/August every tom dick and harry is out on the road on holiday making prices well pricey...

I'm planning on doing a tour around Europe this summer with a mate, however university commitment dependent I will try to make any meeting that is in close proximity

(As I said May/June is exam time, so is definitely a no no for me)

what's our requirements for choosing a campsite then?

plenty of car parking?
walking/stumbling distance from a pub?
big enough for us all to fit in the same camp site?
accepts (and willing to tolerate) large parties?
B&B's close by?
Allowed to have BBQ's?

I haven't read this post for a while, I wasn't going to attend the meet for various reasons, but thought I would check proceedings. I would like to go and see folk, old and new, so I thought I would check out the dates and that.... but there is no date or venue or anything! I agree with JT......where is the love here???!!!
