Back from the 20 Years meeting

Post by Daniel480 » Sun May 14, 2006 9:07 am

Hejhej,

back from the meeting i have to say that it was big fun. Nice conversations about the 480, and very nice to see the strange pedals in e R.H.D 480. How could you drive like that

The weather could have been much better, but for the rest it was a perfect day :D

I hope the people are still enjoying this sunday morning at a trip on the "Nordschleife" and aririve back home complete

here is a link to a few pics i´ve made. I´m sure a lot will follow !! :D

looking good with all those 480's.

awwww makes me miss my Vader and 480 meets! I really enjoy driving around with other 480's (Vader edit) and causing them to break down.

Just back, 12.45 monday after stopover near ostende. Stats - 960 miles total, around 400 each way, rest on the weekend (inc 17kms on the ring), return from Folkestone was av63mph 41.5mpg so could still do better.
Thanks to tips at the meet I was warned about 2Ls using oil and checked mine - sure enough I needed a longer dipstick to reach the oil so put in a litre befor the nurburgring jaunt. Also told I need to check my injectors to sort out my rough start prob.
Great meet, good treasure hunt / rally and the Nurburgring was excellent fun, not sure if the 480 thinks that but I was disapponted there was no opportunity to do 100 (mph not kph) because of traffic!
Good to meet richmann, suddy and laserowl from uk and many more from germany, nl, latvia, france, belgium..europe
Pics to come

Ah, now I know Steve Robson.
Nice TT mate.
just try some contactspray for the injectors and then see.
(an hour ago my dad phoned, his 2.0 wouldn.t start because a injectr ws faulthy.wiggled the contacts of them and it started again.
If one injector goes, in short time they will all go ....)

It was very nice to see everyone had a great time, I even visited the various 480 forums throughout Europe to read opinions, very heart-warming :D :hopping:

Was back Sunday-evening at 18:45 (with a quick stop at BK drive-thru, nice food 'zonder accent' )

awaiting those pics/video clips of Suddy meets Sunrise...

That was my first and, sadly, probably my last last volvo meeting (lease car beckons), but if they are all as surreal as that I may have to reconsider!

Thanks for the entertaining weekend

Hello :D

Back home on yesterday afternoon...I really enjoyed this meeting, thanks for the organization
The place is beautiful and the Hotel not too expensive and comfortable.
Also thanks for the Road Book in French, because some French members are not very good in english

And the tour on the Nurburgring was excellent :hopping: really better than the track which is near of me...

Thanks and see you next year or at the french meeting this summer ;)
